How much does it cost to hire an interior designer?

Before we can determine the investment outlay, we’ll meet with you to discuss your project scope and needs. We’ll outline some design and decorating suggestions and outline our processes (we call this a Discovery Consultation). Once we have all of the relevant information, we then prepare a comprehensive Investment Proposal for your consideration

.

You’ll have the option of utilising our experience and know-how, advice and services for as much or as little of the project as you wish. Every proposal is tailored to your individual requirements and your budget.

Most designers charge by the hour, a flat rate, or a combination of the two.  To provide the best value for money for our clients, BSID charges a mix of the two.  You can check out all of the services offered by BSID right here.

So is it worth hiring an interior designer?

The question should probably be, ‘is it not worth hiring an interior designer?

We work on a ‘do it once, do it well’ principle. Given our commitment to sustainability, the last thing we want to see is furniture and decor on the road-side so we only use quality products and materials that will stand the test of time.

Getting to know you and your needs, BSID will select products and materials that are not only aesthetically pleasing, but functional - providing you with confidence and eliminating the question of ‘will it or won’t it work’.

BSID has established excellent working relationships with trade and wholesale suppliers both locally and nationally to bring you unique, high quality furniture, fittings and materials that are not always available through a retail store and/or that we can procure for you at significantly less than the recommended retail price. BSID makes sure that you get the best value for your money, and more often than not, the savings made on materials, furniture and fixture purchases, will offset much of our fee. You can also save precious time and take the stress and confusion out of your project by letting us handle quotations, securing and managing trades and arranging ‘white glove’ delivery and installation.

My blog, Why Use the Services of an Interior Designer, provides lots of information about what needs to be considered when undertaking an interior design or decorating project.  It’s in taking care of all of the finer details, using industry knowledge, and past experience, where (I think) interior designers become worth our weight in gold!  Have a quick read of the blog and you can decide for yourself.

We’d love to help you with your next design and decorating project. if you’d like to learn more about how BSID can assist, please reach out to us!
