A home designed to feel effortlessly warm and inviting, with each space reflecting the owner’s unique personality. Each area needed to not only look beautiful, but be genuinely liveable - practical, comfortable and cohesive in every room. We set out to create a calm, welcoming flow throughout the home, allowing the client's lifestyle and individuality to shine through in subtle, thoughtful ways that work cohesively with existing fixtures and fittings.

Observations:
Several rooms had unusual shapes and angles, which meant furniture placement needed a bit of extra consideration to make the most of the space.
There wasn’t a clear overarching design style, with a mix of colours and furniture pieces throughout.
Multiple timber tones were competing rather than complementing, creating visual heaviness and reducing the sense of harmony.
The existing carpet colour posed a challenge for tying spaces together - but we embraced it and made it work within the new palette.
Some spaces didn’t receive as much natural light as they could, either due to limited windows or thick block-out blinds that remained closed, leaving the rooms feeling a touch darker than they needed to be.
Outdated window treatments sat at different heights, interrupting the visual flow and making the rooms feel shorter and busier than they needed to be.
Our Approach:
Rather than discarding the beautiful 19th-century furniture, we had each piece thoughtfully restored and reupholstered to suit the new design.
We selected practical, comfortable furniture that pairs seamlessly with sentimental antique pieces.
A cohesive paint and wallpaper palette was introduced to bring harmony throughout the home.
Layered floor rugs added warmth, softened and defined spaces.
A mix of ambient and task lighting was curated to offer both practicality and a gentle, inviting glow.
Artwork was chosen to introduce subtle pops of colour within a calm, neutral backdrop.
Elegant window treatments were installed to enhance the home’s understated elegance, and serve as privacy screens without the need for heavy blinds.
Textured cushions and throws, along with new manchester, provided the finishing touches, tying each room together beautifully.
