2025 Renovation & Restyle

Living, Dining, Kitchen, & Master Bedroom

A fresh update for a lovely couples apartment, tailored to their refined tastes. The design was to feature a neutral palette with cool blues and greys balanced by subtle warm accents. A crisp white base with appropriate accents, additional kitchen, bedroom, and dining inbuilt storage, whilst both making use of some existing furniture, and incorporating new pieces.

The Brief:

After

Observations:

  1. The home featured a variety of styles and palettes across different spaces, offering an opportunity to create a more cohesive, refined look.

  2. Storage was limited in key areas, particularly the kitchen and master bedroom wardrobe, with minimal surfaces for styling and decor.

  3. Existing furniture didn’t fully complement the apartment’s architectural features or materials, leaving room to integrate pieces that harmonise with the overall design.

  4. The apartment enjoys a lovely view of the surrounding city, with windows visible from the main living area - a real focal point to celebrate.

  5. The master bedroom and wardrobe could be tailored more specifically to the clients’ lifestyle, moving beyond standard storage solutions.

  6. Lighting was primarily functional, presenting a chance to introduce layered and feature lighting to enhance mood and character throughout the home.

  7. A lot of blank walls ready for art, shelving, and personal photographs.

Our Solutions:

  1. Lifted the base palette of whites, greys, and blacks with accent blues, warm brass, and furniture that complements the light warm flooring, creating a subtle, easy-on-the-eyes feel.

  2. Added ample storage and display throughout, clearly defining entry, living, dining, and kitchen zones while maintaining flow and easy circulation. Expanded the kitchen with an additional island and overhead storage, nearly doubling usable space.

  3. Introduced a clean white base, inbuilt furniture, and a black-accented kitchen to create an intimate and sophisticated atmosphere.

  4. Installed refined floor-to-ceiling window treatments to highlight the view while maintaining understated luxury.

  5. Redesigned the master wardrobe with inbuilt drawers, hanging, and shoe storage, opening a clear walkway into the ensuite.

  6. Added feature pendants over the dining table and kitchen island, and repeated intimate pendants in the living room and over bedside tables for cohesion.

  7. Incorporated playful art and shelving to introduce colour and personal touches throughout the home.
